After that we'll have questions and additional demo's (including fixing the project functionality on this wiki). The presentation will roughly cover these things: * Introduction to MediaWiki ** What the hell is it anyway? ** Basic wikitext syntax ** Categories ** Templates ** Useful extensions * Introduction to Semantic MediaWiki ** Concept ** What '''awesome''' things you can do with it (includes profit!) ** Defining semantic data structures ** Queering stored data ** Display of queried data ** Useful extensions *** Semantic Forms *** Semantic Result Formats and Semantic Maps *** Semantic Drilldown *** Semantic Compound Queries == How long will the workshop last? == This depends on how deep the average interest of people is into the covered subjects. The presentation will probably take somewhere between 30min and an hour. The questions, extra demo's and hacking will just work itself out. == What do I need to participate? == If you want to try things out yourself, you need to bring your laptop, and have a working server on it, so you can install MediaWiki. == How much does it cost? == It is free for members and non members are kindly asked to make a donation, the more, the better! == What language will this workshop be in? == English
